These were purchased for “Training”, and I believe that they work quite well for it.
For such, you want a strap or more substantial material over the instep (top part) of the foot. This is to keep the shoe on your foot while traipsing around the house doing chores, etc.
Very high and a great workout for my calves.

I was very pleased to receive my order earlier than expected. The only critique I have, is the glue label. It was mentioned in another review as well, but the Pleaser label on the sole of each shoe came undone after about 5 minutes of walking, leaving exposed and not quite so easy to remove, glue. I was also given the impression that Pleaser shoes tend to run small, so I ordered a 6 instead of my usual 5. There is a small but noticable gap at the heel, but I thought it best to just keep them as they are since there’s bound to be a bit of space with any pump of this height. I measured the heel, and they’re actually only 5 1/2″ high. So other than those 2 small negatives, they are comfortable, as comfortable as tall high heels can be and I would definitely recommend them.
